Our Friends at Therapy Box Release the New App PredictAble!
February 4, 2011
Congratulations to our friends at Therapy Box for releasing their brand new app for AAC users called PredictAble! Here at Portable Sound Laboratories, we take great pride in being able to help & serve the assistive technology community. It fills us with joy to know that we touch peoples lives every day by offering the iMainGo as a tool for assistive tech users. iMainGo is proud to be partners with Therapy Box, and we are excited about their recent release of their new app “PredictAble”. We love working with our partners by helping better serve those with speaking disabilities. To top it off, we are anticipating the release of “iMainGo for your iPad”, coming soon in 2011, because it is sure to be a match made in heaven with the new app PredictAble!

With this remarkable new program/app, users are offered THREE access methods (Scan & Switch, Direct Touch, Touch Anywhere), word prediction, a phrase bank, voice output and more! For a full feature list, click here. Our friends at Therapy Box stated, “PredictAble is the brand new, revolutionary solution brought to you by Therapy Box. An alternative to Proloquo2Go, we are proud to announce the arrival of PredictAble. This ground-breaking solution has to be seen to be believed. From AAC functionality to socially acceptable Apple cool features PredictAble sets a new benchmark. By including Word Prediction as well as Switch Access this solution meets the requirements of AAC users.”

My son is 14, has severe apraxia and dyslexia. Would love to start texting but struggles with spelling and word retrieval. How would he use this with texting? Would he type his message in Predictable app then copy and paste it to his text message box? Is there a video showing how to use this? It looks and sounds good in print and pics but at this price, which I am willing to pay that to help him, but I’d really like to see how it actually works in real time.
Appreciate any feedback!! Thanks for producing what looks like an app that will really make a diff in his life!!
